What it is
Lio is a slim, hand-finished wooden body — the shape nods to the fyell, the Albanian flute — with a replaceable botanical core inside. When you draw air through it, the air passes over the core and picks up aroma on the way. That’s the whole mechanism: your own breath. Nothing is heated, nothing is burned, nothing is emitted into the room.
What it isn’t
It is not a vape: there is no battery, no liquid, no coil and no cloud. It is not a cigarette: nothing combusts, so there is no smoke and no lingering smell. And it is not medicine: there are no doses and no therapeutic promises — it is a sensory object, not a treatment.
What’s inside
The cores carry essential oils of peppermint, sweet orange, black pepper and eucalyptus on a natural fibre base, inside wood. The blends are vegan and IFRA-compliant, and every batch is GC-MS laboratory tested — you can read more about the testing on our safety & science page.
How long a core lasts
Each core carries aroma for at least two days of normal use. A refill pack holds 9 cores in sealed sachets — about 18 days, which works out to roughly €1 a day. Refills are €18; the starterpack is €49 and includes the wooden device plus 6 flavour sachets. The device is bought once and kept for years — only the cores are replaced.
